Happy New Year 2014 to All!

Welcome to What Now Miami Beach 2013 Living Miami Style city happenings!

In May 2013, we got the scoop on the owner of Antonini Modern Living from our WhatNow Insider who we are very good friends.  She’s a young working diligently to enhance businesses in Miami and isn’t as incognito as she think she is.  The Antonini Modern Living furniture stores second location was opened with a team of 5 and from what we heard they couldn’t keep up with this amazing sales woman who fed Miami updates through PinterestFacebook,  Twitter and emailing all Midtown, Downtown and Miami Beach VIP’s  amazing items and sales, giving a great intro to the stores Midtown Miami birthday.  She managed to boost sales of  $62,425.30 in 4 months using public transportation and future researching the cities resources and development.  What a woman, I thought we should give her some props!  As WhatsNew in Miami Beach Insider she supplies the scoops and prefers to give us good news.  The owner of Antonini Modern Living, is originally a wholesale furniture distributor.  The Canadian owner took over the corner of West Elm who had the entire block, to showcase his primarily modern Canadian furniture with a specialty in dining chairs made in China, also offering lines from USA and Italy our insiders specialty.  We did receive some bad news about the stores management that was not so private and some surrounding retailers in uproar about the low-price points on some items competitors felt were priced too low in comparison to their prices, but sources say overall this store is helping more Miamians get accustomed to the modern lifestyle.

We’ve been out and about and are linking up with the towns local celebrities for 2014, but lets look back at 2013 for a moment.  We found quite a few business owners who are looking to make their mark with no clue on the best way to market, owners opening restaurants and not being happy about it due to bad choices in location and marketing budgets and making mistakes that could of been prevented.  We ran into successfully marketed business like the new Barrezzitto on 20th and Collins Avenue right across from the Setai who’s started pumping out social media marketing immediately.  What a great marketing team and the food is delicious and I can’t wait to see them fill up all that space with Miami Stylers!  It’s the businesses with high price points and no real plates to back them up that we have to tap on the thumbs down, but we did have a few who made through the storm with a 1:2 success rate thanks to the help of prime Miami Beach restaurant professionals making these small projects look as amazing as the price.  One successful survivor we heard about was Big Fish Restaurant who opened in December of 2013, a quaint outdoor restaurant by the canal of Biscayne Blvd and 79th Street.  Who knew the shambles this place was in could look so good.  Good for you Big Fish Restaurant.

The beginning of Living Miami Style 2013 featured investment property, beautiful modern mansions in Miami, the best countertops for your kitchen, the 10 Sexiest cocktails for Valentines Day, amazing local hang-outs and lounges to live the life, premiere events of the season, business opportunities and meetings with new businesses.
